pm-r Posted May 9, 2023 Share Posted May 9, 2023 The still attached below is a still frame-grab from the FX9 from an interview I did with a bunch of musicians at a music festival last September. It might seem strange to use a FF Cinema camera with a $170 lens attached, but when you shoot creative people and you have some license to do your own thing, selective focus is fun, and not exacting. Much of what I shoot in video is heavily scripted and I'm forced into convention so when I get to apply my own vision to a project, I tend to go a little off the deep end. This is FX9 in Cinetone, 4K, FF, 4:2:2, with the lensbaby sweet 50 set to f/2.8 (almost wide open). The way it renders is weird, but organic... What do you think?
