Medium Raw Dynamic Range Loss A7RV

I was shocked by a highlight recovery test I did with the A7RV raw formats. I can't tell any difference between compressed, lossless and uncompressed. However, when using Lossless Medium, there is a huge loss of dynamic range. I didn't expect this at all. I expected it to stay the same, just sample less pixels. I wonder if this is a bug. I overexposed the sky behind my house by about 3 stops and then tried to recover. The image with the grey sky is the Lossless Medium, all the detail was lost.

wow this is shocking! I don't have the a7r5, so I can't help confirm the bug. Have you tried again after a power cycle? I was considering upgrading the a7RIV to the a7RV too...
