Of course, I'd be happy to. First start by composing your image in a way that the layers cascade down towards the camera, so elevate and maybe tilt your camera down.

Then you'll need a tripod so you can keep the camera from moving and hopefully there isn't wind because that can be a killer.

Next, focus on the the closest thing to the camera, then I like to use manual focus and just shift it towards infinity slightly taking up to 5 or 7 images.

Make sure the last image is perfectly in focus on the furthest thing in your frame to complete the bracket.

Then editing those in Lightroom exactly the same so ensure a smooth stack. Then move them to Photoshop as layers where you can select all them all and align, then stack. It's slightly complex and too much to type here, but hopefully that gets you started.

Thank you and most definitely. The rule of thirds is very important to me because I like my images to breathe. So I use the thirds grid on my LCD screen and make sure to not compose images with a lot of dead negative space.

However, there are exceptions for me such as a crazy sunset or maybe a focus stacked busy foreground. If that is the case then I'd typically include more sky or more foreground.

I also have a lot of symmetrical images which is probably more my OCD than anything haha. So you'll notice my images being very subject center focused.

Andrew Willie (@andrewoptics) was my first inspiration because I love urban images. I'm lucky enough to call him a friend and colleague now which humbles me.

Mike Sidofsky (@mindzeye) is another one that just blows me aways with every images he posts. I love his clean symmetrical frames and how intentional his images are.

Yes, I use my 24-70 2.8 GM for almost all my commercial work. I love the versatility of it and find myself at 50mm most of the time. If I had to use a prime lens I'd use the Sony 50mm 1.4 GM.

Absolutely! I'd create a media kit, if you're not sure what this is it's just a single sheet or image that has everything about you and included images.

Before I had an actual portfolio I just took images of things I liked or brands I wanted to work with. I also took free jobs or trade jobs to build my portfolio.

Then I would blast that media kit out to the universe. DM brands on Instagram or Twitter (X) as well as send direct emails to contact forms. Lastly, a lot of brands actually have ambassador signups right on their website so find those as well.
