I'm thrilled to be a part of this club. I'm an Emerging League iLCP member and underwater photographer/filmmaker focused on telling stories of marine scientists. As a coral biologist turned photographer/filmmaker, my work aims to take complex research and turn it into a more digestible format through photo and film.

I live on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and would especially love to connect with others in the Caribbean!

Hi all,

Greetings from Taiwan! I'm also an Emerging League iLCP member (hi Dan!) and both an UW and topside conservation photographer based in Princeton, NJ. I am in the last year of my PhD in ecology and environmental policy, where I focus on the socio-ecological dimensions of coral reefs and their conservation across various patterns of scale.

I was born and raised in Indonesia and do fieldwork and storytelling projects throughout Southeast Asia and would be keen to connect with like-minded conservation photographers/scientists, both in the region and beyond.

Hi everyone,

I'm a photographer and filmmaker in Fort Collins, Colorado. My creative focus is on showing why active stewardship of nature is essential for its existence. Currently I'm working on a long-term multimedia project showing the role of fire in Colorado's forests. I'm also the senior communications manager for the National Audubon Society in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah, where I use multimedia to raise support for shortgrass prairie, sagebrush steppe, rivers, saline wetlands, native gardening, and environmental education.

I'm SO excited about this club! I love connecting with other photographers and filmmakers and geeking out about all things conservation storytelling. 

My name is Brooke, I've worked with iLCP for about 5 years now. Currently, my major roles with iLCP is to help run the ELP mentorship program.

I'm also a photographer and filmmaker myself. I primarily focus on pollinators and human/environment interaction. Most recently, I've been working on a story on lawn culture in the US -- this work is supported by National Geographic.

To change your profile picture, you'll need to update your profile on Alpha Universe. 

Click on My Alpha Universe at the top right of the page, then select log in and you can change your profile picture for your public profile on that page. That profile picture will then come through here to the forums.

Hi everyone, 

I am a conservation wildlife photographer out of San Antonio, TX. My creative focus is on human/wildlife coexistence in urban environments. I have been working on a long-term project out of Southern California called the Marine Mammal Coexistence Initiative, which aims to create stronger protections for harbor seal and California Sea Lion mainland rookeries. I have also been a long time partner photographer for the Cheetah Conservation Fund out of Namibia. I have been the Ethics Committee Chair for the North American Nature Photography Association since 2018 and was recently elected to their Board of Directors.

Hello!

I’m an Emerging League member of the iLCP based in Ottawa, Canada. My storytelling work focuses mainly on wildlife science, informed by my background as a biologist. For the past few years I’ve been based at the Algonquin Wildlife Research Station where I’ve been working on various stories about the value of long-term wildlife studies. My storytelling work moving forward will continue to focus on the conservation of Ontario’s freshwater turtles. As such, I’ve been working on expanding my skills to include underwater photography. Happy to connect with folks on various topics...especially those who can help with my expansion into the aquatic realm!
