What's the biggest challenge you face when shooting an eclipse?

Since I'm obsessed with timelapses, the biggest challenge for me relates to managing the timelapse. The brightness changes constantly during the eclipse, and then you have to remove the solar filter at the exact moment totality begins, and then replace the solar filter the second totality is over

So nailing the timing of that filter switch is always the hardest part for me! (plus also don't nudge the tripod while you're messing with the camera 😂)

I think the biggest challenge is generally the weather, but Nate's answer about the timelapse and when to switch the filter is definitely up there. I remember panicking about making the filter switch at the 2017 total solar eclipse lol
