How would you shoot a landscape eclipse so it's not just blacked out landscape?

Totality photographs really similar to blue hour, in my experience, so it's actually not too difficult! You'll need higher ISO (or slower shutter) than broad daylight, but it's easier than standard astrophotography IMO.

I did a landscape composite for the 2017 total solar eclipse that you can see here. It doesn't get darker than blue hour really, as Nate said! I took photos of all of the phases separately and then combined them with this landscape shot in Photoshop.
