aquabluedreams.com
When I walk out the door I assume Mother Nature is trying to kill me, lol. I also assume my gear will often fail at the most inconvenient moment.. On a recent hike we visited some well known ice caves. It is an easy hike and many families visit them. Over decades there have been 4 recorded cave-ins that resulted in 4 deaths, one, tragically a child. There are multiple signs posted saying "do not go in the caves", "do not approach the caves", etc....But is not forbidden and there are no fines issued for entering them. We each have our own tolerance for risk, often based on our experience. I posted some photos and there has been push back about "setting a bad example" and "being stupid" for putting myself at risk. Curious to your thoughts, feel free to be blunt. Edited August 19 by aquabluedreams.com
degrees.kaptured
The closest I can come to this is entering abandon buildings. Yes there is risk but how else will you get the shot. If you are not breaking any laws and you recognize the risk then I believe it is worth it, that shot is great. The only idea I have is maybe have a disclaimer telling people "Don't try this at home" haha. Or something along those lines. Otherwise, risk it for the biscuit my friend.
