I did the Camino de Santiago back in September, walking past Lisbon, Porto, and Tui. This is the best photo I captured this year.

I wouldn't say this is the "best" but it is one of my favorites that turned out better than I expected. I shot this photo at a performance in Xian, China. You can't tell from this shot, but this photo was almost completely in the dark! The only light source was from their glowing daggers and some low red light from the background

Tough backlighting on this one, but due to the number of safari vehicles jockeying for position of this leopard in Serengeti NP, not much we could do with the lighting.
