RickE Posted November 5 Posted November 5 With my a6600 I was able to take log exposure photos using a Vello Shutterboss 4.0. On my a6700 there is no port to attach the Shutterboss. How can I take exposures longer than the 30' in camera maximum? Products Used Alpha 6700 (Alpha6700)Cameras
TrekRover Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Hi RickE, I don't have the a6600/a6700 model, however try checking if this works: "To achieve a longer than 30 second exposure on a Sony Alpha camera, you need to switch your camera to "Bulb" mode, which allows the shutter to remain open as long as you hold down the shutter button, enabling exposures exceeding the standard 30-second limit; access this setting by navigating to manual exposure mode and selecting "Bulb" on the shutter speed dial. Key points to remember: Access Bulb Mode: Go to manual exposure mode on your camera and select "Bulb" as your shutter speed setting. Use a Remote Shutter Release: To avoid camera shake while holding the shutter button during a long exposure, use a dedicated remote shutter release cable. ND Filters: For bright daylight situations, consider using a Neutral Density (ND) filter to reduce the amount of light entering the camera and allow for longer exposures." https://alphauniverse.com/stories/take-the-long-exposure-view/
tonygale Posted Monday at 04:42 PM Posted Monday at 04:42 PM It looks like the a6700 may only have USB-C and no Micro USB, an adapter like this might work. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1653482-REG/pearstone_usb_type_c_male_to.html
