  1. Hi! I counts see the images yesterday for some reason, but can now! The strange bokeh is typical of layered branches. I get this all the time in winter when trees are bare. It is just how they render as branches can be really busy in bokeh.
  2. Count me in for all the slow and still life inspired vlogs. I need the calm and really can't stand the hyper ones at all. They give me anxiety, lol!
  3. I am waiting to find that out too! I love that camera!
  4. Ok, so I have used this since it came out and it has been my #1 lens for travel, including shooting for Sony booths at trade shows. It is stellar. I use my 50 GM more now, since I have it, but the 1.8 served me well for a long time!
  5. I agree that a nice zoom would be good. I would add on the 100-400, if you can afford it.
  6. It is definitely hard to choose, but the eye AF and new AI processor would have to top the list for me. I love the focus stacking feature too!
  7. Focus stacking! I need to find more subjects, but I am loving this feature!
  8. Do you panic at all when they gate check you? I trust my Pelican, but I fear gear getting stolen.
  9. I love my Pelican roller that I got from Sony years ago. It is small enough for the overhead and yet tough against anything!
  10. I definitely love the a7III! It is a great workhorse camera for lots of things. Highly recommend!
  11. I love the atmosphere in your images!
  12. I am having so much fun reframing how I shoot and why. Here is one I just made today with daffodils that my daughter gave me for Valentine's Day. Daffodils are the birth month flower for March, so it might make a nice gift to someone who has a birthday then, engraved with a personal message on the back. 🙂
  13. I have always loved the idea of shooting for TINY images. There are so many considerations though and I am currently working with a jewelry printer to place my images on necklaces. I have learned a couple of things. 1. Shooting for tiny images is completely different than shooting for wall art! Everything is opposite! 2. I will shoot with a wide angle lens from now on--at close distance and with deep aperture to maximize the detail and bring the art closer to the viewer. My goal is to fill the circle with my subject. 3. Jewelry makers are not photographers and you have to work with what they offer. I had to get test necklaces and then make a note that I need to warm up my white balance to compensate for the coolness of their printers. 4. I will post process to remove tiny details--more noise reduction, even when there is no noise. Tiny prints just can't handle a lot of details and it is easy for details to get smudged. I have found that processing in a painterly way really helps to make the image pop under glass. 5. Macro photographers rejoice! One perfect flower makes a great image for jewelry. 🙂 6. I am working to find an emotional 'hook' to help sell my jewelry. People associate flowers with memories and it is really important to interlink stories with my flowers. Each necklace can have an engraved message on the back, so that helps too. 7. The profit margin is a good thing with jewelry, but it takes a little work to dial in a product that can catch top-dollar.
  14. I'm committed to the 24-70! It is such an awesome lens!
  15. Nice! Love the light in the second one...very Rembrandt!
  16. I just love long lens landscapes! The more intimate view is my favorite!
