  1. I think that working for free really depends on how much it benefits you. A portfolio is a must, so getting that is necessary, one way or another. I don't think shooting for free is terrible. You just have to make sure that your free offerings don't trickle into the rest of your career! I still get people who want free shoots because I gave them free shoots ten years ago. 🙂
  2. What Canon camera are your using right now?
  3. Yes, the strip at night is full of lights! I wanted to make a few cinemagraphs too.
  4. This is a reminder that I need to actually get my pets in the studio!
  5. I sell my backyard images! It is way more fun to shoot for fun and then try and figure out how to sell it all later, haha!
  6. Unpaid to make, but paid when selling the final images and products. I don't like to shoot under pressure. 🙂
  7. I have only ever been to Vegas for photo conferences and so I haven't really been able to 'slow shoot' there. What are your favorite things to photograph in Las Vegas?
  8. Ok, I am following. I have my own, but it has fallen by the wayside because of voice issues I was having, lol!
  9. That is great advice. People are so much better before they have time to think, haha!
  10. My favorite is my 50 GM. I adore that lens and it is totally my workhorse lens!
  11. This is awesome! An emergency blanket is such a great idea! I need to get better at bringing snacks! By the way, your bag is adorable!
  12. I love this lens! It was a surprise favorite for sure!
  13. I need to travel more, but I honestly love the Lake Superior coast with its lush autumn color and fog. 🙂
  14. This account is awesome! I love this style so much!
  15. I love those too! That is the kind I hope to create.
  16. Anyone shoot with a car top tent? I think one brand is Tepui. I have a Subaru Outback. I think many are awesome, but I want one that is best for photography. It would be nice to have a skylight that could open. Ideas?
  17. My biggest tip is to have a SOLID tripod. There can be a bit of lens breathing at long focal lengths which make long exposures a challenge. I learned this one the hard way!
