  1. Somewhere in Mexico just outside of Cabo San Lucas. The area is known for its surfing and this was an instructor who didn't mind me taking some portraits of her. I decided to feature the rocks instead of the water in this shot. If you like this image I have more of her. #FE 24mm F1.4 GM
  2. great images and i love the camera too!! I have one on order!!
  3. I think i was at 24mm- have to keep dead center for minimal lens distortion!
  4. Just got back from my Cuba workshop- one of my best workshops ever. Not only some amazing photos but just a good time hanging with my photo buddies and connecting with the Cuban community! How can you beat $1 Mojitos?? Love to take another group if interested. Here is some BTS, I will post more amazing images later. I I used the entire trip was my A7iv and a 24-70mm https://fb.watch/gmkEVA3NJM/ #Alpha 7 IV (a7IV) #FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II
  5. I love using this pose with a wide angle lens and shooting waist up. I'm using the Sony 24-70mm F2.8 GMii. Posing Tip: The male partner was a lot taller, to make this pose work I told him to spread his legs to lower his position about 4 inches. This was the first time shooting a couple's session in Banff, Canada. A breath-taking environment with the teal blue water and majestic mountains can't be beat! Such a joy to be able to shoot landscape portraits. I'm typically in urban locations.
  6. Thanks for sharing!! Awesome you're still getting use out of the trusty A77ii!!
  7. Great question! Getting my new website and marketing going. Trusting my team to get it done and together coming up with a good plan.
  8. I think mostly when there is strong compositional elements, dramatic lighting yet the background has a lot of detail or colors that throw off the eye. So BW creates more simplicity in the photo and relies on those other elements.
  9. Good stuff!! you inspire me to get my images up!!!
  10. There is beauty everywhere, not just in the obvious places! I agree!!
  11. Paris is often referred to as the City of Light. Please share your images of Paris at night. Landscapes, portraits, street images, etc. Tip: use a constant light to light your subjects at night. Set your background exposure first, then light your subject with the right amount of light needed.
  12. you are the envy of many photogs who only dream of having such a fine lens! Thanks for sharing!!
  13. Welcome!! love that photo of your father on the bike!! Amazing how technology has changed over the years!! Thanks for sharing!!
  14. Well, i think it's mostly the composition of the photo, if it is strong. Also if there is a lot of texture and colors that don't really go together well in the photo, i like to turn to BW to simplify the composition.
  15. One of my favorite lenses!!! Portraits or landscapes!!
  16. Well considering I have to use it for work, portraits, weddings, etc. I would have to go with the 24-70mm F2.8 GMii
  17. When I have a photo that is strong compositionally and or has a lot of detail, I like using BW because it simplifies the photo down to its raw essentials. Sometimes less is more!
  18. very dramatic and colorful!! keep posting. love the composition on the middle image, shooting up!
