  1. Hello everyone. So... I am having a hard time deciding... Sony is offering me Sony Protect Plus for $340 for 3 years for my new A7r5. And I am right on the edge of buying it but here is my dilemma. I have the Airpeak S1 and paid $3000 for protect plus on that drone. It ALSO covers the payload. Which includes the camera. I have 2 years left on that plan now. AND I have all my gear covered with a Marine business policy for equipment. This past fall I dropped my A1 on its lid and thank goodness I had ProSupport because they covered the replacement camera for about 6 weeks. I did NOT file any claim and the fix was $1100. I just know what happens if you make claims on a Marine policy and am afraid to do so unless it is a BIG claim. Thus I am conflicted about getting a policy that covers accidental damage from Sony direct. It would have saved me on my A1. But, this is the first body I have actually damaged... ever. Not sure it makes sense or not when I already have a couple of policies that I could lean on if needed. The Marine policy is about double the 3 years cost... per year but it covers $130k worth of gear, which is basically what it is for. Car being broken into or the stuff being stolen from home or the business. What all do you all thing? I wish there was a ProSupport discount code at least. It might help me make the decision... and there should be a discount as some of the coverage is redundant. Thanks for your help in advance. Drew
  2. I have all three of these little ones. I like them and use them on the Airpeak S1 because you get an extra minute or so of flight time with them versus the bigger lenses. As long as it is daytime, yes, I use this one. And it works well. Not the same as teh 24 f1.4 but it does a good job.

I am deep into Sony... And this past August I dropped my Sony A1 right on the hot shoe with the 200-600mm lens on. The camera looked fine... until you looked through the view finder and found the viewfinder was cracked right in half. It took about 5 weeks to get fixed even being a Pro Support member. Here is the thing. I use my camera all the time. And paid for my ProSupport membership for years to come by getting a loaner camera from ProSupport. You should get it. This being said, I have the best laptop apple makes... really. And I cannot get my lenses that need to have firmware updates to work with my new A7r5 to update. So, I called prosupport tonight Waited on hold for 30 minutes. And, the "you can start a conversation via text with a support person for pressing 1) feature did not work. I actually get an error message and am told to reach out later. I really want to be shooting birds in the morning... later... Rather than getting the issue taken care of now.
  4. This lens lives on my camera.
  5. That is a worthy wish. I wished last year and got one to go with my A1. Incredible...
  6. I cannot think of a single lens I want that I do not have... Aside from the 85mm f1.8. I have the 85mm Sigma 1.4 so it is not the focal length... It is the fact that the lens is small and approved to fly on the airpeak that keeps me thinking about it. I can fly the Sigma but it is heavy. 10 grams over the max weight for the drone. It works, but not well. So, I keep thinking about it.
