  1. Fantastic work. I'd have probably left some shots out, as without enough cloud movement, they're not as interesting. You've created so many amazing shots, especially the holy grail and full sunset-night-sunrise shots. Great detail in the shadows in the night shots. There was a bit of flicker which could have just been the streaming codec. Sound effects (swoosh) were sometimes distracting, and some shots could use some stabilization. But really, really fantastic work. I'd love to put my Edelkrone to work even more, once we get into Milky Way season.
  2. Shooting stars captured with real time, 24fps 4K video from the Kohala coast of Hawaii’s Big Island during the peak night of the 2020 meteor shower. Fellow filmmaker, Lance Page and I stayed up all night filming this meteor shower in ProRes Raw using 3x Sony A7SIII's and Ninja V recorders to get the raw signal. The meteor shower was more sparse than we expected, but still made for an interesting adventure. 3. A recent personal project of mine, documenting some of the most recent volcanic activity at Hawai'i's Kilauea Volcano, near my home. We were able to document much of the Mauna Loa eruption, and will be releasing a short documentary soon. Shot on the Sony FX3, Sony A7SIII, Sony A7IV, Sony 200-600 G, and Sony 16-35 GM. https://vimeo.com/787098997
  4. I don't do much product video, but I'd suggest something with as much of a close focus range as possible. The Batis 40mm seems to be popular in that field. The Sony 90mm Macro is another option. Otherwise, you could use extension tubes on anything you've got, to reduce the minimum focal distance.
  5. Nice! I'm with the FX6 and FX3 duo, with an A7IV as a C-Cam. My only gripes with the FX6 are that there's no Long-GOP 4K 10-bit option. I have to record externally for that. And, the variable ND doesn't work outdoors with a CPL. I'm looking forward to upgrading to one of those carbon Schatler tripods one day!
  6. I've been a full time video creator + photographer for the past 4 years. I started out with Final Cut and moved over to Premiere. My thinking was that Premiere was more powerful. It does do many things better, like stabilization and audio mixing. But, when first getting the Sony A7SIII, Premiere would crash my entire (Mac) computer when editing the 10-bit footage. I had similar issues with Premiere on Windows. So, I tried Final Cut again. After doing many projects in Premiere, I realized the strengths in Final Cut. It's far faster than any other NLE for basic editing, which is 95% of what I do as a solo creator. I later bought Resolve and found it to be far and away the best for color correction and grading. But, again, it's no where near as fast as Final Cut.
  7. I look forward to the day I can upgrade to the Airpeak for my aerial shots!
  8. I have and love the 24-105 G. While it's versatile, it's also a bit big for 'walking around'. For a quick and easy walking around lens, I'd go with the 40G or 50G EF pancake lenses.
