Hello!
I've been trying to pair my sony remote to the new A7RV and it doesn't want to work. Replaced the battery, and made sure it's working fine on both my a73, and a9. I can pair it with the RV, and it says it's successful on the camera, but then nothing works on the remote. Airplane mode is turned off, the bluetooth sign is on the screen, but nothing on the remote works. It just blinks several times when I push the shutter release button. I also checked the sony site and it's listed as compatible with the RV. I also tried to pair several times with the same results. Help please!

The new a7Rv has Bluetooth 5.0 whereas many remotes are using an older version. This may need to be resolved in a future firmware update.

I bought a Promaster Bluetooth Sony Remote (equivalent) It does not work either. I searched on line and found this comment in another blog community for the JJC sony equivalent and that JJC now has and upddated version that apparently works.

This may help... I've discovered a step that I don't recall using on the A7R IV.
Here it is:
Network - #2 Transfer/Remote - Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl - On
It worked for me.
