This photo of my family says a lot:  I love to camp and adventure in the outdoors, my family comes first no matter what, and my youngest son Evan is a goofball who likes to ruin photos (which usually makes them better).

I've been shooting for 27 years professionally and still love what I do!  Those who know me best know that I mix work and play in order to stay motivated and interested.  "All work and no play makes Mike a dull boy" right??  I love the freedom my work provides!  If I have a shoot out of town, I'll extend my trip and find a Jiu Jitsu school to train in.  Sometimes I'll drive long distances to a shoot and find a river along the way to fly fish in.  I love mixing my shoots with my latest passions.  Wedding and fashion clients can be convinced into all kinds of adventurous shoots.  Photography blends with everything!

I have been shooting with the Alpha line of cameras for just over 10 years now.  I've used them all!  I'm currently shooting on the a1 and own most of the GM lenses.  My all time favorite lens is probably the 85mm f/1.4 GM but the 50mm f/1.2 GM is a close second.
