Although I'm not a Boy Scout I like their motto: "Be Prepared." This was my last shot of the day as I was sitting on my patio "shooting" some backyard birds. I was standing up getting ready to go into the house when my wife said "look." I quickly turned and clicked. I didn't know what I captured as they took off as I shot. Later at the computer I was rewarded for my "good luck." The sun was at a low level in late afternoon making the two Robins wings look blue.

Nice image - as you mentioned in photography it is good to be prepared, you never know when the moment will happen.

Shot well taken despite the spontaneity of the moment. It is worthy to be entered into a bird photography contest. 👍

For me, photography is all about capturing moments and you certainly nailed this one. If this is a RAW file, I would try to tame those bright highlights - perhaps even some careful cloning could take them down a bit. Highlights will always beg for attention taking it away from the birds. Still - an awesome image!
