  1. Hello CarolineJenses, if you have never submitted to any photo competition, I would recommend to start with the ones from PPA (Professional Photographers of America), and get the additional photo critiques. Online photo contests or apps are fun too, but they don't really prepare you for real photography competitions.
  2. With so many photographers looking to build a reputation on the international circuit, what are the photo contests you normally submit your images to? Here are some of mine: PPA, WPPI, Dodho Magazine, Audobon Society, Arizona Highways, Monochrome Awards, MonoVisions Awards, and I think there are a few others I'm forgetting right now. I take all my photos with either my #Alpha 9 II (a9II) or my #Alpha 7S II (a7SII) and soon, I will be adding the #a7R V to the collection.
  3. Being utterly realistic and picking a place that I have already been to, I'd love to go back to Madera Canyon, Arizona, during the high hummingbird season. I've never been to a place with more diversity and quantity in one spot.
  4. This Great Horned Owl photo is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken in the wild. #Alpha 9 II (a9II) and #FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS
  5. For me it all depends on what bird you're looking to photograph. I don't have the A1 (yet...), but my favorite kit is Sony #Alpha 9 II (a9II) and the #FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS for hummingbirds, and the #FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS for birds of prey. Settings for hummingbirds are always at 1/2000 sec for hummingbirds (to freeze the wings) and no slower than 1/600 sec for larger birds.
  6. Hello all, this is my first post here, and I wanted to know if anybody has a favorite hummingbird photography kit. I've been using a Sony #Alpha 9 II (a9II) and the #FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS. Recently I've also started using the#2.0X Teleconverter Here are some of the photos I've taken of these little fluffy flying critters
