My current favorite is Hoyte van Hoytema - he most recently shot Nope, but also has done Dunkirk, Tenet, Interstellar and a number of others.  I think of him as a great balance of classic and modern, with the ability to create new ways of shooting (Nope is a great example) and incredible sequences (Dunkirk and Spectre).  

  2. I'm also on Capture One after a long period on LR.  Generally do find that I prefer the quality, speed and look over Lightroom.  I do jump out to PS regularly as well, although C1s toolset has made that somewhat less common over the last couple of updates.

  3. We tend these days to shoot a lot in S-Cinetone, mostly for ease and speed.  It looks really good (90%+ as good as what we'd end up grading to) and saves a ton of time not only in post but even on set, matching cameras and not having to deal with LUTs on any monitor that non-sophisticated clients are looking at.

    Basically for us, the juice of S-LOG/S-Gamut is not worth the squeeze over S-Cinetone.
