Hi Alphabaruch, Check which software version you have installed on your lens. Maybe you have version 1 or two and to use this lens properly with the 7RV you should need to instal the last firmware update "version 3" available on the Sony website. https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/lenses-e-mount-lenses/sel100400gm/downloads Kind regards.
