    Clear Image Zoom

Shooting an Sony a7R V. I'd like to be able to switch to Clear Image Zoom quickly when shooting birds in flight. In order to do that you have to be shooting in JPEG file format. I have the C2 button programed to toggle on Clear Image Zoom. It works fine as long as I'm shooting in the JPEG format. I have and Fn Menu setting set and the lens button set to Image Quality Setting so I can switch from RAW format to JPEG format. That works fine as long as I am NOT in M1, M2, or M3 shooting mode. If I am in M1, M2, or M3 shooting mode and have switched from RAW to JPEG and press the C2 button to go to Clear Image Zoom, I get a message that says "!LENS Invalid with his lens". The lens are a FE 4/24-105 G OSS. Also get the same message using a FE 1.4/50 GM and a FE 2.8/70-200 GM ll. When I'm shooting modes Manual, Shutter Priorty, Aperature Priorty, or Program mode I can switch from RAW to JPEG and press the C2 button and invoke Clear Image Zoom. All works fine. Can any body think of a reason why this doesn't work in the M1, M2, or M3 shooting modes? Anybody got an idea how to make this work in M1, M2, or, M3 shooting modes. I'll appreciate and comments, suggestions, or observation. Thanks, BobB
