Michael Taylor is an international award-winning portrait photographer whose true love is photographing people who are passionate about what they do. His current project, ROADWORK, features artists and craftsman from all over...all shot with a 24mm lens. Join Michael for this two-part series in which you’ll not only get to see his brand new work (much of which hasn’t been released publicly yet), but you’ll get inside his mind as he shares how he approaches composition, lighting, and all the things that make his images so special. Additionally, you’ll learn the practical side of how to execute a project of your own, from finding subjects, to the final product.

Michael Taylor Michael has been a professional photographer since March of 1981. He quickly made a name for himself through his unique talent for environmental and location portraiture accruing over 800 combined merits with the Professional Photographers of America. His awards from PPA include the International Service Award and the Director’s Award, and he has served as a past president of both Professional Photographers of America and the American Society of Photographers.

Michael is a popular lighting educator, having presented over 400 workshops across the country and internationally. He has an established reputation for providing riveting programs and demonstrations ranging from lighting fundamentals for beginners, to demonstrating how to successfully light the most complicated of environments with grace and ease.
