  1. It all depends on your budget, if it was me I would go get Sony a7c for $1800, or used for under $1500, 24 megapixel is plenty and you will need to get at least one good lens, also keep in mind picture size on the Sony R line is huge when shooting RAW, so you will need more hard drive space
  2. I have 2 friends shooting with Nikon and I used to use there camera to see if I missed anything, I'm more than happy with the choice of being a Sony shooter
  3. I remember when the NEX-7 came out it was crazy good and I always wanted one, but ended up getting NEX 5n
  4. This sounds like a lot of fun, unfortunately I'm in Austin TX, best of luck
  5. Thank you Drew, I’ve had my eye on it for a while, do you know if it’s worth it to get the more expensive one?
  6. Hello Alpha Universe, How often you print your work, and which printer you use? I use Canon Pixma iX6820, to be honest it’s great printer and can do up to 13x19 and the aftermarket ink is very cheap.
  7. This sounds good, drop the link to the video when it’s published
  8. I like it so much to be honest, so I'm sticking with it for now
  9. Hello Alpha Universe, What’s the best Mic for Vlogging? Something with some good noise cancellation.
  10. Hi Don, that was a great camera, the R is every photographers dream, can't believe how far cameras came alone since
  11. Hello Alpha Universe, I really enjoy being part of the Alpha Universe and part of the creative community, but it's a little inconvenient it's only working in web and there is no Mobile Application for it, is it posable to see a Mobile App in the near future?
  12. I used LumaFusion on iPad pro, iPhone and Mac, very easy and can handle 4K 4.2.2, now using Davinci resolve and it's as complicated as Premier Pro

    24-70mm f2.8

Hello Alpha Universe, I've been using Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 it's a great lens, was wondering if anyone used the Sigma and the Sony GM and can tell whats the deference and if it's worth the extra money?
  14. Your work is amazing, keep up the good work
  15. Sounded like a wise man, it's always good to find the support from loved ones
  16. It's the best thing about Sony, and with A7RV you can use the APS-C lenses with 26 megapixel, the sky is the limit
  17. I’ve been considering getting a tilt shift lens, any recommendations?
  18. Very beautiful work, never did wide macro but it looks like fun, keep up the good work
  19. I’m not saying put on your website that you work for free, but to work with friends and family members and some TFP on the side, the issue I faced with wedding they always ask to see your work, if you never shot a wedding you have nothing to show, and if you have nothing to show you will not get hired to do a wedding, so doing some second shooter and build some portfolio help getting more jobs
  20. I agree that the ones you will do the free photoshoot to will ask for free ones in the future, but it’s a good way to start and practice, no matter how much videos you watch about photography nothing like go out and shoot, and agree once you build a portfolio, you need to charge enough to cover your equipment and shooting time and editing time
  21. Focus stacking is great, but my favorite is the AI auto focus, combined with eye-af you'll never miss a shot
