The 90mm 2.8 macro lens from Sony is a best, it's one of my favorite lenses, I would't mind seeing a version 2 of that lens but i'm sure if they put the G master brand on it it will be over $2000

I got my Sony a6000 from Precision Austin, I got a ZV-E10 for vlogging and never been happier if you don't need view finder it's a good choice

I've always loved the Sony brand since I was a kid, walkman, Tv and of corse Playstation, so when I started getting into photography I used to shoot with my phone and had some friends shooting with Nikon, I remember using my friend's Nikon D3000 and I was not impressed at all so I started looking up professional camera, got my attention the Nex 7, I liked the Idea of mirrorless camera, I couldn't afford the nex 7 so I got nex5n, and I still have it to this day, very powerful for it size, and been a Sony shooter ever since and never looked back lol

For the mean time it's just me, I use my Ipad pro as my monitor so I can see the focus better, but even with that sometime I have to re-shoot an entire video because I missed things in the video

Hi Don, I've never used a tilt and shift lens before but i've been looking to get one for a while just to have some fun with it

Posing. It's still something I'm working on.

Hello Alpha Universe,
Who still uses a camcorder and what it has that new mirror less don't, is there a good reason why someone would go with Camcorder over ZV-E1 or ZV-E10?
-
I’m thinking about getting one too, but also the zv-e10 is keeping up with my YouTube channel for now

I think it's time for a new macro lens, I love the 90mm 2.8, so maybe a mark 2 with 1.8 or even faster
-
I love using the app and being able to control the camera with my phone

Welcome to the community, beautiful pictures and a magical place, keep up the good work

Hi Don, to be honest I rarely use it before, but now with A7RV I like doing macro shots with it, so much fun to see all the details

Hello Alpha universe,
In the sony a7rv introduction it said you can shoot 16bits with external recording, has anyone tried it or know how to do it?

Photographers already composite and the less scrupulous ones will put it out as a single click - so in a sense, it is already happening. I can tell you that Getty Images will not accept AI-generated imagery. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess. I'm more concerned that all photographers are being ripped-off financially as this software is pulling from images on the web - yours and mine included. I don't recall signing away the rights to my images in order for AI to generate new images. Maybe a class-action lawsuit???
This is a really good point Don, AI need to learn from examining work and try to duplicate it, so without a huge archive of images it will not be able to create anything, and I don't think any photographer volunteering their work for free to develop a tool that can replace their work

Great pictures, I love the colors

Hello Drew, When I was getting my A7RV I thought about getting CFexpress A but it's an overkill for what I need, so I found thats a V90 SD card can get me all I need for fraction of the price, I ended up getting Acer SC900 SDXC UHS-II V90 265GB for $124, and I've been able to use all sony A7RV features and recording 8k with no issues, I think the CFexpress is good choice only is you shoot a lot of burst shots in sport events

For me it was when I first started shooting manual, remembering to lower my ISO after shooting at night lol
-
When I edit videos from A7III for my youtube channel I used to do so on LumaFusion, very fast and easy and works on iPad pro, Now with Sony A7RV and 4.2.2 and 8k I made the switch from Adobe to Davinci Resolve, just tired of freezing and losing progress

Beautiful colors, inspiring to start waking up earlier and try to get some magical colors

This is a really good question, I learned so much from
Jason Lanier but these days he is more like a sales rep to rotolight, I liked his work more when he was a sony shooterNowadays I like to follow Peter Mckinnon
-
To be honest I haven't used it since I learned the basics of photography and it's so much more fun to have full control, and I agree if you are paying the A1 or A7R5 price tag then you better know how to use the camera in manual setting

I use the ECM-B10 when I'm using really wide glass as it doesn't stick out so far so you can see it. So when I use the 11mm f/1.8 on the ZV-E10 or the 12-24/14GM on FF bodies. BUT... You cannot beat the purity of sound from the ECM-B1M. it's my favorite mic of all. The sound, including low tones/bass, is so good, it rivals 48V mics that cost as much as our camera bodies do nowadays. Last, I use the ECM-G1 on the ZV-1F but you have to use the little mini-phone cord to plug it in as there is no "hot" shoe... One last thought on the ECM-B1M.. I'm thinking about hacking in half one of the cords that comes with the XLR-K3m and extending it for 20' or so. This would be a great shotgun use on a boom pole!!!! But I haven't done it yet.
Thank you very much, I've had my eye on both of them, I didn't know if it's worth the high price tag
