  1. Hello Alpha universe,

I recently got my wife the ZV-E10 because she wanted a small camera that she can have with her all the time and is great for vlogs and product review,  I have the Alpha 6500 which is double the price but have nothing on it other than weather sealed and IBS and viewfinder and built in flash, Is this enough reasons to be double the price, thinking of selling it and get a ZV-E10.

    What do you think?

  2. Very nice view, you have most of the frame is white because of the snow, either crop it or you can lower the highlights to get more details out of the snow, and maybe use vignette with high feathering to get more details out from the snow, and lower the blue in the background, that's just my opinion and everyone have their own style, keep up the good work

  3. Hello Alpha Family,

These days I hear a lot of Photographers advise new Photographers to not work for free, but how will they build their portfolio?

When I first started, I did a bunch of TFP and did some second shooters on events and weddings to build a portfolio, because people will want to see your work before hiring you

  4. I did get it, it worked well. I don't have it any longer and I am only using E mount glass now

The first picture I got published was with #Alpha 6000 (a6000) and A mount 18-250 using the LA EA2, I still have the lens but not the adapter and thinking about getting another adapter and put it back to work, specially with #Alpha 7R V (Alpha7RV) I can get 26 Megapixel images with it, I'm thing about getting the LA EA5

  5. My first Sony camera was the a850, my first Sony mirrorless was the original a7R. I switched to Sony from another brand and loved the lenses.

    #Alpha 7R (a7R)

That's cool, since you were A mount full frame moving to E mount, did you get the LA EA4? if yes how is it and do you still use it?

  6. It's so hard to say, it really depends on the need at the moment.

I really love the new GM2 lenses, the 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/2.8. The 200-600 is awesome. The 135/1.8 is incredible, so many choices!

    #FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II #FE 70-200MM F2.8 GM OSS II #FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS #FE 135mm F1.8 GM

I agree Sony is not making it easy with all these great lenses, but if you don't have any lenses, and you can get only one, which one will it be?

  7. True. Then they were "phones", to call people to connect. Nonetheless, I love the new technology and how we get to conduct businesses on a small devices.

Yes they are more like computers now, back then every year was a big jump between models

  8. It sound a little greedy but I like making money, so paid wins all day for me 🙂

That money then gives me the freedom to pursue other things and activities that I enjoy more.

Don’t get me wrong we all like 💰💸, and never say no to a paid job, and use that money to do things In my YouTube channels thats also about photography 😅

  9. Hello Alpha Family,

How often you change your profile picture, and do you do a self photo session, I tend to do a photo session to creat one good profile picture every year

  10. Paid gets you places that otherwise would be inaccessible. I think for the Sports side I would say Paid is more fun! Also, I like the pressure of having to deliver. 1630i502F0DEB104AEB2B.thumb.jpg.9914006feeaa43361218f7e1e232be89.jpg

Thats a good point, sure paid get you to shows backstage and runways and sport events, I’ve never shot a pro sport before, so I don’t know how that feels

  11. I just got a 70-200 F2.8 GM II, and it's been a revelation. I put the 24-105 on my first camera about six months ago and loved it. I took it on my daily walks and enjoyed the versatility of being able to go wide to mild zoom in a quarter turn. I only took it off to use my PZ 16-35 F4 G for occasional landscapes, but mainly for environmental portraits and some video of musicians at recurring community event.
Here is one of my first shots with the 70-200.

Never used the 24-105 F4 but I had the ziess 24-70 F4 and it’s amazing, 70-200 is definitely a must, for now I have the old F4 but planning to upgrade sometime soon, the Alpha 7RV got all my money lol

  12. For street photography I usually use the 70-200 lens, this way I'm not in their way and can take without getting close to interrupt their day, it's not always easy to not be notice with white 70-200 lens, but people these days more friendly with a camera and I get some good poses from them.
