CarolineJensen
I am a minimal traveler...as in I would be most happy with a small backpack and nothing else. What are your top tips for traveling light? What camera do you bring? What can you do without and what is a MUST to pack every time you get on a plane? I'm waiting anxiously for your best tips! tonygale
It really depends on the trip, it could be an a7RIV with the 24-105/4 G or it could be the a7RIV, the a1 with a grip, 24-70/GM2, 70-200/GM2, 12-24/4, 50/1.2 with a flash or two. The new GM2 lenses are smaller and lighter which is awesome!#Alpha 7R IV (a7RIV) #FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS #FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II #FE 70-200MM F2.8 GM OSS II #FE 50mm F1.2 GM Products Used Alpha 7R IV (a7RIV)Cameras FE 24-105mm F4 G OSSLenses FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM IILenses FE 70-200MM F2.8 GM OSS IILenses FE 50mm F1.2 GMLenses

IraBlock
You need two bodies in case one breaks down. If you are traveling light you can bring an Alpha body and a 24-70 or 24-105mm lens. For the spare your could bring a Rx100, which has a 24-200mm lens built in
pm-r
One thing that really helps me on the newer cameras is by charging them each night on the road like I charge my phone--just plug the camera with the usb-C cord right into the mac--presto! Leave your chargers at home. There is no smaller FF camera than the a7C, which is also perfect for street photography, so I always try to bring that on trips for "me time." Drew_Geraci
If I know I'm going to be staying on location somewhere (for an extended period of time) and then venturing out during the day to film, I'll bring WAY more than I need so I can switch my bag up on site, that way I can still travel light and bring what I need, but switch my loadout if the day calls for something different. AKA, I'll bring my 70-200, 12-24, 50mm 1.2, 200-600, 16-35, and 24-70 but when I actually leave to shoot I'll only bring 1/2 of that. I also make sure that I can fit everything in my carry-on which isn't too hard, it's just heavy!
