I have their drone with the Hasselblad's camera, but I think Sony should strike out on their own - they don't need a partnership - they have some of the best engineers on the planet working for them!
thanks for sharing alpha-stormy. I was at Carrizo Plain this week and it is well past peak but still in good shape along Highway 58 east of Santa Margarita, California
I realize Sony has the professional Airpeak S1 drone available, but how many of you would like to see them take on DJI and offer less-expensive consumer drones? With Sony's sensor and lens technology I think it would be a welcome addition. What do you think?
I have been photographing the California superbloom TrekRover and have also be using the 12-24mm and the a7RV focus-braket feature to capture the carpeted fields!
Just for fun I went back to past two years and looked at what was my most used lens for landscape. It was a close call between the Sony 24-105mm and the Sony 100-400mm. What is yours? I find myself using the 12-24mm a lot lately...
I have no insight as to what Sony will do as you can imagine. I agree that the market segment for these types of lenses, given today's software, is small indeed. Not sure it would be worth Sony's investment. If enough people are interested I would assume they would get serious about it.
I am fortunate to live near Carrizo Plain National Monument. We are currently experiencing a Superbloom thanks to all the rain California received this year. I captured this image with my Sony a7RV and 12-24mm GM. Where is your "go-to" place for wildflowers? Please show some images!
How many of you would like to see Sony add some tilt/shift lenses to the lineup? Are they really needed with all the lens software we have out there these days? Would be interested to hear your thoughts...
